In my opinion, globalization has vastly improved life in Egyptian culture. Egyptian women have become increasingly more independent in the past few decades. This is evidenced by the increase of women participating in the workforce. Egypt follows heavily Westernized country's example of women in the workforce, which can be seen clearly in figure 1, which shows the increase of Egypt in comparison to the United States and France. Not only has globalization positively impacted Women's Rights in Egypt, it has also began a political movement. Egyptian people recently revolted against their government, but that was not completely a result of Arab Spring. In fact, Egyptian people have been seeking a healthier democracy for decades - arguable as a result of influence from the United States and other democratic nations. Globalization has also reached the newer generation of Egypt, as Egypt as made efforts to improve their education system. Globally, countries have been attempting to improve their education systems in hopes of furthering the country in the long run. Egypt has looked to these countries as examples, and has begun to recognize the flaws in it's education system - acceptance of the problem being the first step to improvement. Although globalization has its pulls and pushes, it has made a clear improvement in the country of Egypt.
