I just finished creating a report on the status of education in Egypt which you will find on my Political and Economics page. I invite you to make comments on this report.
I liked your paper on education in Egypt because I didn't know that they had such a high rate of people who are illiterate. I never knew that they did not hold education very high or that the government doesn't fun the education system. It is hard to imagine a place where so many people cannot read or write or a place where education in general is not one of the top priorities. Great job!

First, the 28% of males and females that are illiterate is crazy! I would have never have even guessed that. I find it interesting that their educational system is so poor and that the government seems to not care about it at all. I also find it interesting that all the funding for the education comes from independent funding, not at all by the government. I find it sad that the teachers there oftentimes have to find a secondary job because of the low pay. I also find it sad that the future for the educational system in Egypt doesn't seem bright.
